Become a Scout

Who can join?

Children in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade are candidates to become Cub Scouts.

Girls can now join Cub Scouts as well.  Boy and girl Dens will be kept separate for their meetings and achieving required adventures.

Children residing in Chatham Township are eligible to join cub scouts in the Spring of their Pre-K year through the 5th grade.  If you miss our Spring registration do not worry! Children are welcome to join in the Fall (and throughout the year).

The "Trail to the Arrow of Light" generally begins as a Lion Cub in Kindergarten and culminates as a Webelos II in a "crossing over" ceremony in the fifth grade.  Children, however, may join at any point until fifth grade.

Pack 24 is also happy to welcome current Scouts whose families have moved to Chatham Township from other Packs.

What Does Pack 24 Do?

Pack 24 has been recognized as one of the strongest, largest, and most active in the State of New Jersey.  We are built on strong parent leadership and volunteers -- people like you, who are dedicated to creating great experiences for their children as they mature.

Each den creates its own great experience, meeting typically once a month.  As a Pack, all dens come together for a Pack Meeting each month. And we schedule many fun events together as a Pack:
